Who we are

BharatScanner (the app and this website, bharatscanner.in) is made by KickHead Softwares Pvt. Ltd., Workshaala, D-9, Ground Floor, Sector 3, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India (“we”, “us”). These terms are published under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

The app

• BharatScanner is free to use and doesn't need an account. Ads pay for it.
• You need to be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms for you.
• We keep improving the app, so features may change, move or be removed. Keep it updated from Google Play to get fixes and new form rules.

Your documents

• Your documents are yours. They're stored on your phone, and we don't receive them unless you send them to us yourself.
• Scan, share and convert only documents you're allowed to. You're responsible for what you scan, keep and share, and for whom you share it with.
• Keep your own copies of important documents. Deleting the app, clearing its data, or losing the phone removes what's stored in it, unless you've backed it up.
• Google Drive backup, sharing apps and printers are run by others and follow their own terms.

Form sizes, checks and hidden numbers

• The form rules in the app (file types, sizes, pixel dimensions) come from official notices, but authorities change them. Always check the latest official notice before you submit. We are not responsible for an application that is rejected or delayed.
• Photo and signature checks, text reading, key facts and translations are done automatically and can be wrong. Check the result against your original.
• “Hide Aadhaar” and the other hiding tools find numbers automatically and can miss one. Look at the shared copy before you send it.

Fair use

Don't use BharatScanner to forge, alter or misuse official documents, to break the law, or to harm anyone. Don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or tamper with the app, its ads or this website, except where the law allows it.

Ads

The app shows ads from Google AdMob. What you do with an advertiser is between you and them; an ad is not a recommendation from us.

Our rights

The BharatScanner name, logo, app and website belong to KickHead Softwares Pvt. Ltd. or the people who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app on your devices. Ideas and feedback you send us can be used to improve the app, without any obligation to you.

No guarantee

We work hard to make BharatScanner reliable, but it is provided “as is”. We don't promise it will be free of errors, always available, or suited to every purpose.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost opportunities (such as a rejected application) arising from your use of BharatScanner. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use the app means you accept it. You can stop using BharatScanner at any time by uninstalling it; here's how to delete your data.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Noida, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
