How to resize a photo and signature for a form

  1. Pick the form

Open BharatScanner, go to Tools › Forms and pick your exam or service: UPSC, SSC, IBPS, SBI, RRB, NEET, JEE Main, PAN, passport and more.

  2. Take or choose the photo

Tap Photograph, then take a photo against a light wall or choose one from your gallery. The frame already has the form's shape.

  3. Add your signature

Tap Signature, sign on plain white paper and take a photo of it.

  4. Let it check

BharatScanner makes each file within the form's limits and checks it on your phone: file format, file size and pixel size, then face size, sharpness and light for a photo, and ink colour, capital letters and how much of the box it fills for a signature. Anything off shows up as a warning now, not as a rejection later.

  5. Send the files

They're named after each upload, like photo.jpg and signature.jpg. Save them, or send all the ready files to WhatsApp in one tap.

Questions

Good to know.

What size should an exam photo be?

It depends on the exam. UPSC asks for a JPG of 20–200 KB, IBPS and SBI for 20–50 KB at 200 × 230 px, and NEET UG for 10–200 KB. Pick the form in BharatScanner and it uses that form's sizes.

How do I resize a signature to 20 KB?

Pick your form and BharatScanner makes the signature within its limit, for example 10–20 KB for SSC, IBPS and SBI. For any other limit, use Custom size.

Are my photo and signature uploaded?

No. They're made and checked on your phone. They leave it only when you share or save them.
